Breakfast Wrap: Best Of Thursday Night

 title=
TGIF! Just to keep you all updated, this morning I’m heading off to the IFA show in Berlin via Tokyo thanks to the good people at Sony. You’ll still see my name popping up over the next 10 days or so, but for the day to day posting of local stories we’ve called up our good friend and respected technology freelancer Alex Kidman to hold the fort next week. And yes, in case you were wondering, he’s Angus’s brother…

And now to the wrap:
Even Darth Vader Needs A Bit Of Auto-Tune
No he doesn’t. How can he be evil incarnate with a melodic voice?

Don’t Hold Your Breath For A Download-Only PS4
I wouldn’t hold your breath for a PS4 just yet at all…

Navy Lost Control Of Drone Due To ‘Software Issue’
Software strikes again!

Whoops! The 10 Greatest (Accidental) Inventions Of All Time
I wonder if it includes time travel?

Our Nightmares About The Government Tracking Us Just Came True
At least you can stop it…

On a side note (and something I don’t think worthy of a dedicated post), I endured the terror of shattering my one week-old iPhone 4 last night. Fortunately it was only the back of the phone that shattered, and it still works fine. I’ve bought a case to stop shards of glass sliding into my finger every time I make a call, but because I’m on a plane today I can’t do anything about it.

The worst part of it all is that I have cases sitting on my desk at work. I just didn’t like their designs, so was waiting for my free case from Apple to arrive before I began protecting the new handset. I guess the lesson here is that if you get an iPhone 4, you should definitely get yourself a case as well…

I’ll update this post when I get to Tokyo tonight with some pics (the USB cable for my camera is in my checked luggage). But I can tell you, as it slipped from my fingers on the death plunge to gravel, I knew it wasn’t going to end well…
