HTC Wildfire Coming To Telstra In August

Although they’re keeping quiet on pricing information, HTC has just announced that their app-sharing Wildfire Android handset will be launching on Telstra next month.

The phone will be available in black or white in Australia (and not that lovely reddish tinge you see above), features a 3.2-inch touchscreen and has a 5MP camera with LED flash. According to the press release, it’s going to be exclusive to Telstra as well. The phone will run Android 2.1.

It’s fantastic to see so many Android phones hitting Australian shelves. With Apple’s current iPhone 4 problems and the fact WinMo has cocooned itself up in the hopes of turning into a beautiful butterfly later this year, Android has really lifted its game to try and take its share of the smartphone market by force.
