Hidden away in a bland update about terms and conditions, Google's Android Developer Blog has revealed the next phase in Google's plans to make Android a little more pleasing to the mass market - direct carrier billing for app purchases.
The lack of a properly integrated way to buy apps is often a complaint voiced by even the hardest of hardcore Android fans, but it looks like that's about to be solved, thanks to this little line of text:
In Section 13.1, "authorized carriers" have been added as an indemnified party.
There's no date offered for the enhancement, but if the T&Cs are being prepared hopefully that means it'll arrive soon - and won't be held back to be revealed as a "Gingerbread" feature. [Android Developers via ITPP]
