The iPhone 3G mysteriously dropped off the Apple Store website a few weeks ago, but as of last night, there’s a new 8GB iPhone out there for anyone who doesn’t want to wait for iPhone 4. It’s an 8GB 3GS, and it’ll come pre-loaded with the new iOS4 software when it starts shipping on June 24.
The ‘new’, smaller capacity 3GS will set you back $719. But considering the local pricing for the iPhone 4 has yet to be announced, you would have to be mad to buy one. Even without the spectre of the next version hardware on the horizon, the 16GB 3GS is only $80 more expensive.
