On Monday, the Android Australia blog picked up that Vodafone had pulled all mention of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 from their website. Now Vodafone has confirmed that they've delayed the launch.
The Australian launch of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 on the Vodafone network has been delayed. The original go-live date was scheduled for early May. Vodafone and Sony Ericsson are working together to ensure that the Xperia X10 performs at the highest level on Vodafone’s Australian network and will announce a revised launch date in the near future.
Vodafone's official comment doesn't tell us too much. Considering both Telstra and Optus are already selling the Android device, it seems odd that Voda have delayed their launch. Still, if you are looking at the Xperia and wanting to partner it with Vodafone, at least you know that it hasn't been totally cancelled.
