If you’ve seen one iPod dock/Internet radio speaker system, you’ve seen them all. Or so I thought before I read the specs for the Ravon Phaedora, a dock that lets you record Internet radio and download podcasts to USB or SD cards.
With an RRP of $600 it’s not exactly cheap, especially as it’s only made to work with iPods, and not iPhones (although to hazard a guess, I imagine it will work with iPhones, although you’ll get an error message on your phone’s screen). But it’s the recording of Internet radio that makes this interesting – the dock can connect over WiFi or LAN, and will record directly to USB keys or SD cards. It also records FM radio if you’re into that kind of thing.
