He's known as one of the most famous English artists of the 20th century, was hugely popular in the Pop Art phase - and now, David Hockney is creating artworks with his iPad.
After experimenting with iPhone artwork, Hockney's picked up an iPad (despite it not being available in the UK yet), and is making streaky masterpieces like the one shown here. Speaking to the Evening Standard newspaper, he said that the "iPad is far more subtle, in fact it really is like a drawing pad. They will sell by the million. It will change the way we look at everything from reading newspapers to the drawing pad."
His digital creations won't be selling for as much as his paintings and sketches, but it's pretty fascinating to see his style is still recognisable even when made with iPad fingerstrokes. [Evening Standard]
