Despite the fact that most of the focus on 3D recently has all been around either Avatar or 3D televisions, it’s worth remembering that there’s 3D for PC gamers already. Acer are hoping to capture some of that market with their 1080p 3D Vision ready GD245HQ monitor.
Paired with NVIDIA’s 3D Vision technology, the GD245HQ monitor offers 3D, 1080p visuals with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2ms response time. Of course, you’ll still need to pimp for the relevant 3D graphics card, 3D glasses and 3D capable software, but if you’re into that kind of thing, the 23.6-inch widescreen monitor from Acer sounds like it’ll do the job. It’ll set you back $699 though, which coupled with the rest of the hardware makes for a pretty pricey gaming experience…
