CNet Australia‘s resident AV guru Ty Pendlebury has managed to wrangle a piece of information gold out of LG while junketing through Korea with the company – turns out the Korean electronics giant is planning on selling their 3D glasses for $79 a pair in order to undercut the third-party companies.
To date, none of the companies to announce 3DTVs has confirmed the RRP for additional 3D glasses in Australia, although based on US conversion rates we’d be looking at roughly $180-$200 a pair. For LG to only charge $79 really shows how much the other companies are overpricing their glasses.
