Olympus Pen E-PL1 Priced And Dated For Australia

Yesterday morning the guys from Olympus had a little event in Sydney for their latest range of cameras, including the new Pen EPL-1. The good news is that it’s coming soon, at a reasonable price!

I managed to have a couple of minutes hands on with the micro four thirds camera, and it’s nice. It feels a little cramped under the right hand (for me at least), but at the same time the build quality felt pretty good, and internal flash is cute and works well.

The E-PL1 will hit Aussie shelves in March for a body-only price of $899. Throw in a single 14-42mm lens for $100 (as in the single lens kit costs $999), while a twin lens kit will sell for $1,199. That’s cheap enough to make it exciting!
