Vodafone Offering Dell Mini 10 Plus 3GB Wireless Data For $50 A Month

Vodafone was one of the first telcos to bundle a netbook with an integrated SIM card and wireless data with the Dell Mini 9. Now they’re doing it again, except this time with an extra inch of screen and a couple of different data options.

Customers can now get a Dell Mini 10 with either 3GB or 6GB of included data on Voda’s mobile network, complete with integrated SIM. The 3GB deal will set you back $50 a month – $30 a month for the data, and $20 a moth for the lappy. The 6GB will cost you $60 a month, with $40 being for data and $20 being for the laptop.

Having said that though, if you jump on this before the end of January, Voda’s cutting the cost of data in half for the first six months, so your monthly repayments for 6 months are $35 for the 3GB and $40 for the 6GB.

I still think this is a pretty good option for people needing a netbook, especially as the Mini 10 is a pretty decent unit as well. It’s only available in Alpine White though, which could be a deal breaker for some.

Get moving with the ‘Perfect 10’ Dell Inspiron from Vodafone with Built-in Mobile Broadband

Vodafone is bringing the popular “Perfect 10” Dell Inspiron Mini 10 to its customers to help them remain in touch, online and on the move. Launched today, this exclusive version of the Dell Mini 10 features built-in Vodafone mobile broadband connectivity, eliminating the need for an external USB modem, making it a compact and self-sufficient device for commuters, students and travellers alike.

Head of Voice and Broadband, Edward Goff at Vodafone Hutchison Australia, said, “Vodafone is always on the look-out for products and services that transform and enhance the way we communicate.
We teamed up with Dell last year as we wanted to bring the best of both hardware and mobile broadband connectivity together for customers. We found there was a huge appetite in the market for simple, affordable innovation. It came as no surprise that the Dell Mini 9 was a runaway success for us, and that our competitors are now following our lead.

“We are thrilled to be launching the impressive Dell Inspiron Mini 10, and bringing customers a straight-forward, low-cost, fuss-free solution, to enjoy internet on-the-go.”

Evan Williams, general manager of Dell’s Consumer business in Australia said, “Despite its pint-sized chassis, the Dell Mini 10 offers no compromises. Weighing just 1.3 kilograms, the Mini 10 is packed with punch, boasting features you would expect from a regular laptop including a keyboard 92 per cent the size of a regular laptop, and an array of entertainment capabilities to help kids, tweens, teens, travellers and “Tweeters” chat, blog, stream content, share photos, watch videos and much more.”

Pricing information: Half price offer – 50% off the monthly fee for the first 6 months. Offer ends 31 January 2010. Available for purchase from December 9, at select Vodafone stores nationally or online at www.vodafone.com.au
