We know that the iPhone was a big success in Australia when it launched last year, but this is just mind-boggling. Suzanne Tindal over at ZDNet is reporting that according to analysts at IDC, Apple sold about 125,000 iPhone 3Gs. That works out at about 1,350 iPhones per day.What’s even more interesting is that Apple’s maiden quarter more than doubled the number of sales from RIM, HTC and Motorola, who are all playing in the same smartphone space.
And while I’m sure IDC didn’t measure it, I reckon you guys would have been responsible for at least a third of those initial 125,000 purchases…
