This week Microsoft followed Apple’s lead and quietly brought local Windows Phone Marketplace pricing more in line (though not completely) with the US. I reached out to Microsoft for comment, and here’s what they had to say…
When the Mango update comes out for Windows Phone 7 later this year, there will be a new, web-based Marketplace which allows app purchases in desktop browsers and have them sent to phones in OTA fashion. [WP7 Developers via Engadget]
It’s not clear yet when Microsoft’s newly announced Windows Phone Marketplace is going to launch, but when it does they’ll have a bevy of partners already on board, ranging from the AP to Foursquare to Pandora. And they look good!
