We’ve lamented WP7′s lack of copy & paste (though we haven’t missed the irony), but now trusted Windows blogger Long Zheng is reporting that all hope is not lost:
Just as we thought, Samsung’s Windows Phone 7 Series handset shown off at Mix 2010 the other day was the Omnia HD, but according to Samsung “it’s not yet clear whether existing i8910HD users will be able to upgrade”.
The most interesting parts of Microsoft’s Mix conference have come to a close, leaving us with two steaming news lumps: One for Windows Phone 7, and one for Internet Explorer 9. Here’s what’s in them!
Dear Microsoft, you did a good job at out-Appling Apple with the Windows Phone 7. At least on paper. But instead of trying to beat them completely, it seems that you want to screw it all with two stupid decisions.
Windows Phone 7 OS code, pulled from the emulator image – build 7.0.0.6077 to be precise – has been dumped on xda developers, meaning it’s being torn apart as we speak. Harvest shows what Xbox Live gaming will be like on Windows Phone 7, and it’s pretty damn impressive. Achievements, explosions and glorious gamerpoints. Leaving your house officially no longer means stalling your gamerscore.
Windows Phone 7 Series: It’s a thing! And it looks pretty great, so far. Last month’s announcement, though, left a lot of questions. Questions which will be answered here, in Gizmodo’s live coverage of Microsoft MIX 2010 keynote. Constantly updating.
