This is probably one of the scariest videos I've seen: The spread of Walmart. It may just be the slimy green, but it looks like an outbreak movie where everyone dies.

We already know that the people involved in the trampling death of Jdimytai Damour on Black Friday were deplorable, but few could have imagined how bad things really were.
Inconsistent rumours that Walmart would soon start selling the iPhone soon have been pinging around for a few days now, but Bloomberg has finally come up with a solid answer: It's happening, and probably by Christmas.
This rumour has been popping up and hitting me in the face all day, from all angles. Wired, Boy Genius, and Engadget have all reported it as a strong rumour, while some sites are claiming it as fact. What's the story?

OK, Black Friday has officially gotten out of hand. A 34-year-old WalMart employee was trying to hold back the crowds at a Long Island store this morning at 5am, when they took the doors off their hinges and stormed the store. The man fell down and was trampled by over 200 people as he gasped for air. It's sad and despicable, and it's equally the fault of the dehumanised shoppers and the WalMart store it happened at.
It's good or bad news, depending how you look at it. But according to analyst Richard Greenfield, Walmart is "increasing its exposure to consumer electronics, video games and Blu-ray, and reducing floor space devoted to CDs and standard DVDs." This quarter, Walmart has seen a 23% decline in CD sales, so bowing to MP3 momentum while investing in their digital infrastructure and making room for more iPods makes some sense. Cutting back on DVD shelf space, however, sounds like more of a gamble if we're talking about the timeframe leading up to Christmas. [Home Media Magazine via Switched]
