If Dell’s Vostro V13 was Batman’s laptop, it looks like the new Vostro 3000 series might just be Bruce Wayne’s. They’re portable, powerful and sleek rigs for professionals. But are they a value play, or a luxury item? More »

You can’t tell from the image, but that Dell M109S projector can fit in the palm of your hand (9.2 x 10.5 x 3.7 cm). With a modest brightness of 55 lumens and resolution of 858×600 (SVGA), the DLP-based M109S maintains a respectable throw distance of roughly 2.5 metres. The LED bulb will last four years before replacement and the system uses the same power adaptor as some Dell laptops, making it all the more portable. The Dell M109S is on sale today starting at $US500. [Dell via Toys and Gadgets]

Dell matches the economy class XO and Asus Eee laptops by permanently chopping its $700 Vostro 1000 to $399. The super-cheap laptop market’s getting nicely competitive. [Dell via Valleywag] More »
Notebook Italia is once again spilling the beans on a new laptop, this time around it’s Dell’s new Vostro line. The notebook will have dedicated media keys and it’ll be able to play CDs/DVDs without booting up the OS. No other details are known, but it’s expected to arrive in July. – Louis Ramirez
