Drug laws are stupid. You can’t stop people from using drugs, or smuggling them into the country. And now, in addition to overground, underground, and aquatic crossings, smugglers are flying ultralights to ferry pot over the U.S.-Mexico border.
Fun fact I learned of this morning: To skirt the annoying “pilot’s license” thing that’s typically required to take a potentially deadly craft into the wild blue yonder, just build something that’s super-light and does not qualify as a plane.
