As we walked into the Tokyo Motor Show today the first thing that we hit was the Gran Turismo 5 stand. Although the game won’t be out until March 2010, they had a raft of virtual cockpit simulators ready and waiting for journalists who think they are Kimi Raikkonen but are actually crap at driving.

Crazy Lexus Art Is Crazy!

This is just awesome. Found in the Lexus Fine Art room at the Tokyo Motor Show. It looked like a glass model with different coloured lights illuminating it. Make of it what you will. And while you do, I’m off to play what looks like the full version of GT5 (or as full as you will get now). It’s on display at the Tokyo Motor Show. Check back in an hour or so for the rundown.

Lexus Unveils LF-A, Jaws Drop Around the World

Life is full of hard questions, such as: Do I date 1996 Jennifer Aniston or do I buy a Lexus LF-A? Luckily I don’t have to answer that question. It’s 2009 and even if I had the money to buy a Lexus LF-A (which I never, ever, ever, ever will) my luck isn’t good enough to be one of the 500 people who gets in quick enough to grab one.

Toyota Unveil The FT-86 Sportscar — Hints At Release Date And Price

Yesterday I had a crack at Toyota for displaying some disappointingly ugly concept cars at their pretty awesome Mega Web showroom in Tokyo. Well, the future might look a tad ugly if these concept cars become reality but the present (well, future but pretty close to present) is looking bloody sweet. In the words of Toyota President Akio Toyoda himself, he was “sad that Toyota had no sports cars” in its current line-up. That all changed today.
