It’s missing the LCD display and a couple of buttons and dials, but otherwise, it’s a fairly spot-on replica. We’ve included an image for comparison purposes, because we’re nice like that.
The perpetually delayed but now available Gran Turismo 5 probably doesn’t need anymore teases associated with its namesake, but nevertheless here we go again. Thrustmaster, you see, has the “official steering wheel” rights this time around, and recently tased this:
Oh, Thrustmaster. What heavenly delights have you brought us this time? Oh, the world’s heaviest DS stylus? You shouldn’t have. No, really. What’s that? It’s a projector as well?
Rather than just sticking a strap on your DSi, you could use something with a bit more function: A dual strap/charger.
We’ve seen Wii lightsaber attachments before, but Thrustmaster’s version actually looks like something we’d be excited in using. These add-on sticks are powered by three AAAs and have 17 blue or red LEDs for glow-in-the-dark action. Nice, but we’re not sure how much more “gameplay” it’ll add to The Force Unleashed. Bonus shot for awkward Canadian teens after the jump. [Thrustmaster via Go Nintendo]
The amusingly named peripherals manufacturer Thrustmaster has launched the T. Flight Stick X, describing it as the “World’s first PS3 joystick.” This should be welcome news for flight-sim fans —as long as your favourite game doesn’t exclusively utilize the motion sensor, which renders the device useless.
Still, the device has plenty to offer, like rudder and throttle control, airbrake or rapid-fire triggers, a mapping button, easy configuration switching, a slew of programmable buttons and axis, and PC compatibility. It even comes pre-configured for Blazing Angels on the PS3 and Flight Simulator X on the PC. Available for $50. (Product Page via Register Hardware via Wired]
