Handheld Fluke Thermal Imager Puts Predator Vision in Your Pocket

A few months ago, I had a mouse problem in my apartment (just one and we caught it, but that's a problem to me) and I was on edge for weeks, always expecting another one of the cat-eating, fanged and diseased rodents to scurry out from behind my kitchen sink (determined, after going over the whole apartment CSI-style, to the be sole point of invasion). If I had possessed Fluke's Ti25 handheld thermal imager, I could've resumed calmly eating peanut butter by the spoon a lot sooner, since the pocket Predator vision would've revealed any more lurking in my walls. Soldier Without Night Vision Goggles + Puddle = Hilarity

A spy drone with an infrared night vision system captured this perfect moment when a solider without night vision gear discovered why it's such a useful piece of tech. J-Tas Surveillance System Has GPS, Thermal Imaging, Hunts Predators

From next year UK armed forces will be using a new "Surveillance System and Range Finder" which will allow soldiers to quickly spot and locate enemy positions up to 5 kms away, and call in the artillery using precisely-derived GPS coordinates. The new all-weather, day-and-night hand-held J-Tas devices are an improvement on older in-service versions which needed a tripod and lack thermal imaging.
