11:00PM November 1, 2011 | Andrew Tarantola

Pre-printed greeting cards are the baseline of intra-office well-wishing–the sort of thing you get “for everybody to sign.” These greeting cards, however, prove that your well wishes run so deep that you’re willing to tattoo them on…to this little mustachioed man. Instant gravitas. More »

11:00AM March 6, 2011 | Casey Chan

In a statement art piece, Chris Eckert created this automatic tattoo machine that chooses what kind of tattoo you’ll get for you. That’s right, you won’t have a say at all. On top of that, the machine only tattoos religious symbols from the major religions. Why? Because Eckert believes that many people don’t choose their religion and are rather born into it. Is anyone up for it? [Chris Eckert via MAKE] More »

Philips Electronic Tattoo Concept or Peter Petrelli Tantric Sex Video

5:20AM October 16, 2007 | Wilson Rothman

WARNING: EURO-STYLE SUGGESTED SEXUAL CONTENT If you caught that weird tattoo moment in Heroes last week, you will especially appreciate this new Philips Design electronic body art project, Skin: Tattoo. The girl makes the dude’s tattoos ooze mysteriously by getting him into a tantric embrace. My only confusion: with such a scary soundtrack, it kinda seems like she is draining away his life essence, and replacing it with black subcutaneous ink. Not exactly a selling point, Philips!
