After 10 years of bullet-time, you’d think the effect would be completely played out. But you haven’t seen crazy surfing shot in bullet-time with 52 Canon EOS 550Ds.
It’s not a huge update, but if you’ve been suffering from a problem where your manual exposure has shifted during a video shoot, you’ll appreciate that Canon has addressed it with new 1.0.8 firmware. Don’t you wish these updates were OTA? I’m sure a huge segment of the population never installs these updates – many of which can seriously improve the performance of the sensor/processing. The Canon T2i dSLR sounded extremely exciting, as it promised to bring 1080p video (with decent frame rates) to Canon’s sub-$US1000 dSLR line. Photographer Dan Chung was among the first to test it out, and the results look fantastic.
