The folks at OObject have put together a list of 16 gadget suitcases that can handle any situation a super spy may find himself in. Spy transmitter suitcase? Check. Spy kitchen suitcase? You bet. From designers Pinkwolf, each of these cases has a life-size weapon shaped cunningly into the material of its lid: There's a knife, an axe, and a revolver. Now as far as we can see they're just plastic shapes, and an integrated part of each case. But considering the incredible kerfuffle that crazy application of regulations can cause nowadays at airports, to use these faux-weapon suitcases for real you'd have to be either brave, dumb, freakishly lucky or a wonderful melting-pot combo of all three. Too bad the Samsonite OBAG, a rolling bag designed by Rooz Mousavi, is not a real product. Not only is it easier to manoeuvre and move up and down the stairs, it also looks better than any other suitcase we have ever seen and it can work as a replacement wheel for a Tron lightcycle. As a bonus, it opens like an atomic bomb core that only Jack Bauer can deactivate.
According to German news site Nachrichten, a passenger at the Linz airport set off alarms when his suitcase full of bacon was mistaken for a bomb. The story was translated with Google, so it's high on hilarity and low on verifiable detail.
