Possible LG Prada II Photo Leaked

A few months ago a rumour floated around that LG was planning a second coming of the Prada phone with features like a 3-inch touchscreen, 5MP camera, a front mounted camera for video calling, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA, a full HTML browser, microSDHC, and a slide-out QWERTY. Obviously, we can’t confirm any of that information by this grainy photo—but it does back up the QWERTY keyboard, which keeps the rumours on track at least. It also doesn’t do anything to discredit a possible 4Q release date. [BGR]

Leaked Pics Seem to be Upcoming Nokia N79 Mobile Phone

Over at BoyGeniusReport there’s a bunch of images that seem to be leaked shots of an upcoming Nokia N-series mobile phone, the N79. It’s faintly similar to the N82, and supposedly has a 2.4 inch QVGA screen, and a 5-megapixel camera beneath with flash. BGR suggests we may learn more on Monday, from Nokia itself. There’s also a bunch of confusion over whether the pics are real, but they certainly seem it to me, complete with its strangely pinstriped rear shell. What do you think, guys: Real or no deal? UPDATE: It looks like are pics of a Chinese-made knockoff of the N79. Oh well. [BGR]

More PSP 3000 Spy Shots

A tipster mailed in these additional PSP spy shots to go along with the ones we saw yesterday. Assuming this is real, it shows a black PSP with the new PlayStation button, the mic hole, and a thinner outer ring. There’s also the headphone jack with the TV out port which features more arrows than before. Colour us amazed. If anything, this says that everyone, from Sony themselves to people who have nothing better to do than to make fakes and seed them to news sites online, aren’t really expecting much out of the next iteration of the PSP.

Japanese iPhone 3G Is Perverts’ Worst Friend

According to reporter Nobuyuki Hayashi, the camera of the iPhone 3G sold in Japan will make a shutter sound every time you take a photo, even if you put the telephone in silent mode. The reason: all those pervs taking photos up the skirts of unsuspected women in public places.

AT&T-Branded Sony-Ericsson W350a Mysteriously Appears On eBay

It looks like the Sony-Ericsson W350a is coming to AT&T later this year. One of the handsets has appeared mysteriously on eBay with AT&T branding. It’s not a super-new phone, but the fact that it’s got the AT&T logo is something interesting. Was this a demo phone? A loaner from SE? Will AT&T carry the phone in the near future? We don’t know, but Sony-Ericsson fans have just perked up their ears. [PhoneNews]

Nikon D700 Shots Revealed as Fake

Darnit darnit–that’s what you’ll be saying if you’re an eager Nikon fan, waiting for the new mid-range D700 DSLR. Those shots we showed you in our previous rumour post? Yep: faked. Over on NikonD700.com they’ve got a link to the original pre-Photoshopped image on Flickr. It’s of a D300, and is clearly of a higher quality and resolution than the D700 fake. See below for the full pic.

This Might Just be the Helio Ocean 2

Is this the Helio Ocean 2? According to someone on the Helio City forums who grabbed this screenshot from a since-removed YouTube video, yes. Is Helio even going to be around long enough to release another version of the Ocean? We’ll see, but I’m not placing any bets one way or the other. But the fact that this shot makes the phone look very similar (and just as thick) as the original doesn’t make me optimistic. [Helio City via Engadget]
