Space suits are insanely cool. Except this one. This prototype hamster ball suit was designed by engineers at John Hopkins and actually presented to NASA in 1964. The engineers claimed astronauts would be more mobile with this thing on.
The Bibliosphere, an administration and student services buiding at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, is both an ecological and architectural achievement. It’s incredibly environmentally-friendly, and did we mention it’s a giant sphere?
I think I and quite a few others have had this idea before, but some crazy Russians have actually built a 10-foot, stationary hamster ball for humans that translates movement to on-screen action.
