The Sonos Controller app is now available, free, and should be great for those who own both a Sonos system and an iPad.
Designed for use with a ZonePlayer multi-room system, the WD100 iPod/iPhone dock sends music wirelessly around the house. There’s not much of note here, but existing Sonos users can snap up the cheap-as-chips $US119 dock from next month.
Sonos is getting Spotify. Too bad we can’t get to the service.

Sonos is admired for their elegant, if expensive, wireless home audio systems, so it only feels right that soon you’ll be able to turn your iPad into a $US500 Sonos remote. Now why can’t I do this with iTunes?
The Sonos ZonePlayer S5 is elegant and impressive, but until now we had trouble making it match our decor. No more headaches over that thought though, because the wireless music system now comes in black.
One of the more interesting things you can do with the iPhone is use it as a remote control for other devices. Since the iPhone App Store launched almost two years ago, developers have created hundreds of remote control applications.
Yesterday I had a bit of a hands-on with the new Sonos Zoneplayer S5 wireless music system. I don’t have a lot more to add to the US writeup, other than the fact that they’ve decided to drop the local price to $699, rather than the $799 they announced a few weeks ago. Better, but still a long way from $US399…
