Skype’s got a gift for all of you holiday travellers. From December 21st through December 27th Skype will be offering free wireless internet in more than 60 airports through Skype Wi-Fi. So when you inevitably miss your connection, you’ll at least have something to do.
Skype’s been powering Facebook’s video chat feature since July, but its new apps for Windows and OS X now let you use the Skype client to directly make video calls to your Facebook friends.
GroupMe, the messaging service employed by Gizmodo during our harrowing CES 2011 coverage, is being acquired by Skype for an undisclosed amount of money.
Skype just rolled out Skype WiFi, the new name for it’s Skype Access hotspot plan, to iOS devices. The app lets you get online at more than a million hotspots, and pay for it on a per-minute basis.
