The awesome custom Metal Gear Solid PS3 created by our supremely talented modder buddy Ramon is back on eBay after its previous buyer didn’t pay up, and it’s just as mind-blowing as it was then: Signed by Hideo Kojima, it’s painted with carbon fibre and midnight black using a digital camouflage technique and has laser-cut stainless steel marquee artwork illuminated by micro LEDs, and comes with a bunch of other rare Metal Gear, uh, gear. There’s little we’ve said about our modder buddy Ramon that we haven’t already said back when he made the Zelda, Samus, Rockstar and Clerks Wii mods. This guy is talented AND he has good aesthetic taste—something not commonly found with modders. This time he’s auctioning off this one-of-a-kind Super Mario Galaxy Wii mod that will benefit Child’s Play, the children’s charity started by Penny Arcade. Our buddy Ramon of modding fame has been busy lately, with the Rockstar Wii mod following up a long procession of mods anybody would be glad to call their own. This latest mod was comissioned specially for Kevin Smith, and features the four main characters from Clerks. Not only is the console itself really “Clerksy”, the Nunchucks have “Kevin Smith” and “Silent Bob” engraved on it so his wife knows which controllers are his.
