Posted by Mark Wilson at 11:00 PM on December 25, 2008

It's not uncommon for the press to receive Christmas Cards from members of PR, but this one from Everpeace Tech seemed...particularly noteworthy.

Just when you think PR folks and bloggers got along semi-decently, you get a report of one such exchange where the PR person challenges the blogger to a fistfight. Updated 2:43 PM EST

ThinkSecret Creator Returns to the Internet, Still Talking About Apple

Posted by John Herrman at 8:00 PM on October 8, 2008

Remember Nicholas Ciarelli, the precocious tween who started a successful Apple rumour blog only to have it shuttered by the company's legal team? He's now posting on the DailyBeast, and he's got some interesting things to say about his favourite plaintiff: namely that since the negative PR resulting from Ciarelli's case, Apple seems to have realised the buzz-building value of early leaks and non-response to rumours. Samsung SSD Falls Three Stories, Still Boots Up Windows

Posted by Adrian Covert at 11:30 AM on September 30, 2008

Naysayers and skeptics should also note that once the SSD was thrown off the building, the video was never cut. Not too shabby. [Samsung SSD]

Posted by Adam Frucci at 6:30 AM on April 19, 2008

Sprint is providing 600 phones to the Archdiocese of New York for the Pope's visit. In addition, "the Pope's caravan will be tracked through Actsoft's Comet Tracker GPS solution loaded on Sprint phones, transmitting data over a secured network in near real-time for optimum security and accuracy." That's right: the Pope uses Sprint. I don't think there's a more badass celebrity endorsement than that, do you? I can't wait for the ad campaign.

Prematurely Squirted is the New Word for "Leaked"

Posted by Brian Lam at 7:36 AM on August 18, 2007

Jaiku officially "leaked" their new symbian software. I don't care about the software, but why is an official release being called a leak by the PR team? This is like when your dad wears a jean jacket. We're going to have to drop "leaks" and move to to terminology like "Prematurely Squirted".
