A whole heaping of classic Android/iPhone games will be dolloped into the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace come April 6th, including Angry Birds (yawn), Sonic the Hedgehog (good for a few more spins), Plants vs Zombies (another yawn), Doodle Jump (fun!) and a few others I can’t pass comment on, like geoDefense and Hydro Thuder Go. They’ve been suitably Xbox Live’d with achievements and leaderboards. [Xbox via TechRadar]
It’s been widely acclaimed on almost every portable platform known to man, but I admit, I avoided Plants Vs Zombies, much because I knew it was coming to the iPad at a higher resolution.
Playing with an iPad, one of the first things you notice is its speed. Everything just zips into place. Our side-by-side tests comparing it with the iPhone proved that we weren’t just imagining its snappiness.
