Here’s the new iPod nano. The paint is less matte, more shiny. The corners seem less sharp (a previous complaint of mine). But physically, it’s about the same. The differences are inside.

The old standbys of the iPod line, the iPod Classic, got bumped up to 160GB for the same old price of $US250. The Shuffles are now at $US59 for 2GB and come in black, silver, pink, green and blue. They’re all shipping today. Updated.


iPod Touch Third Generation: Now Up To 64GB

As expected, the iPod touch third generation is here. It comes in 8, 32, and 64GB—for $US199, $US299 and $US399. The new 32 and 64GB version has a faster processor, 50% faster. Just like the iPhone 3GS.

Apple Part Numbers Confirm New iPods In Colours

AppleInsider is claiming that these are the part numbers for the new iPod line up. There’s no mention of the iPod touch. Hopefully this doesn’t mean that there won’t be a touch announcement. Otherwise it will be an even more boring event than expected.

Cheaper iPods Briefly Appear Before Apple Event

The 32GB model is now $US189 (down from $US399), the 16GB is $US249 (was $US299), and the 8GB Touch is $US189 instead of $US229. Could a 64GB model arrive at Apple’s event later this morning?
