If you ever wanted proof that DSLRs are becoming much more mainstream, this is it. JB HiFi’s selling off the Nikon D3000 — an entry level DSLR, to be sure, and not exactly a sparkling new model, either — for $498 with an 18-55mm lens. Not a pro shooter, but if you wanted it as an entry level step into DSLR photography (say, for example, as a starting point for Gizmodo’s own shooting challenges) it’d be fine. [JB Hi-Fi]
