Nexus One Is Dead

That was fast. After getting word that Google received its last Nexus One shipment, the Nexus One is now sold out at google.com/phone. Which means you’ll never be able to buy it from Google ever again. Which means you’ll probably never buy it (unless you go through a backchannel like eBay). Which mean it’s dead. Sad [Google]

Google Receives Last Nexus One Shipment

Google just received their last shipment of the Nexus One and once this current stock sells out, it’s officially goodbye to the Google Phone Store and sayanora Nexus One. Even though it wasn’t the most successful Android phone, I still think it’s the best option for people who want the authentic Android experience.

Here’s the bottom line on the first speed tests of Android 2.2: without Flash 10.1, its browser handily beats all comers. But with Flash? It drops to the bottom of the heap. Ruh roh.
