iSleep Laptop Airbag: Because Work is Not That Bad When You Sleep Through It
9:20AM Sean Fallon | Designers these days seem bound and determined to lower our productivity with products that entice us to sleep when we should be working. The iSleep concept expands on the idea behind products like the Napbook by making the process a little more high-tech. When you close your laptop, the fan exhaust automatically fills up the latex-lined cushion with warm air. It also activates a music playlist that will sooth you to sleep for 10 minutes before sounding an alarm to wake up. I highly doubt that this product will ever see the light of day though, so it looks like you will have to continue to rely on you arm, the supply closet, your car or that space under your desk to catch a little shut-eye. 3:23PM Nick Broughall | If I seem a little grumpy, it’s probably because I didn’t sleep very well this afternoon. Which is crazy, seeing as how I was testing out the Pzizz – a gadget that’s supposed to help you nap better.
It’s pretty easy to use – you plug in your headphones and press the big button on the front once to turn it on. The next thing you seen on the small screen is the number 10 – this represents how many minutes you want to nap for. It goes all the way up to 60, but I opted for a half hour kip. For testing purposes.

2:16PM Nick Broughall | Some people think that I have the best job in the world. I happen to be one of them. The company who looks after the nap pods we featured on the site last week were kind enough to send over one of their Pzizz napping gadgets.
It looks like an MP3 player – there are three buttons on the front, a DC in and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top – but instead of playing music plays a series of relaxing and moving sounds to help you take a nap. From the website:

3:25PM Nick Broughall | It’s Friday – I’ve had one hell of a long week and the last thing I feel like doing right now is working. Who’s with me? What I feel like, aside from a cold beer and some footy, is taking a nap. And while I could go and crawl into bed, I’d rather just have one of these nap pods in the office to tide me over until my wife gets home and makes me do housework.
The napping chair you see above is the Zero – a chair powered by NASA technology to create the perfect conditions for napping. Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Well it’s not. For $3,650 you can own a powered version of this awesome napmaker. Hell, I’m getting tired just writing about it…
There are a couple of other models after the jump, although they are lacking in the pricing department.
