Dell just told us the Mini 10 is finally getting that built-in TV tuner option promised at CES as a $US50 add-on. It tunes in to over-the-air digital ATSC TV. AU: I imagine this is US only for the time being.

Dell’s May catalog lists the next version of their Mini 10 netbook—the functionally identical 10v—for $US299, a full $US100 less than its predecessor. Smart move, as price has always been the Mini series’ biggest weakness.
You can now configure Dell’s latest netbook with a 1366×768 screen, which is big enough to handle 720p vids. No word on the other supposedly forthcoming extras, though.
The Dell Mini 10, the Mini 9′s successor, which is due to start shipping early March will come with a “fixed” 1GB of RAM, meaning, it won’t be upgradable according to Dell. Does this mean that the RAM is soldered in, or fixed on the motherboard? Anyways, it’s probably a result of the netbook licensing limitations they have with Microsoft. [Dell via Boing Boing]
The Dell Mini 10 was the other announcement at today’s Dell event that wasn’t the Adamo, and it actually has some decent features, which include a 720p screen with end-to-end glass and a TV Tuner.
