That sound you are hearing is thousands of people screaming after falling for this Mentos and Diet Coke booby trap. And the sound you will hear soon will be the screams of the people who did the traps, as the joke victims beat the crap out of them. [Instructables]
newVideoPlayer("mentos1200_giz.flv", 494, 452,""); Giz reader Robert Woodhead combined two things that I just can’t seem to get sick of seeing: Stuffing Mentos into Diet Coke bottles and the super-slow-mo action of Casio’s EX-F1 camera to create this stunningly beautiful video.
Here’s what you do when you’re a student in the Belgian town of Leuven. You don a blue plastic poncho alongside 1,499 undergraduates, all standing in line at very long table, on which is placed a bottle of Diet Coke and a Mentos. On the count of three, having raised your hood, you drop the mint in the plastic bottle, and 1,500 fountains of sticky drink erupt simultaneously. More pics below. Update: We’ve stuck a video up there, as well.
