Panasonic’s $US4 Billion Loss Makes Sony’s Bad Year Look Peachy

Panasonic, the last sacred bastion of plasma TVs, is down $US4 billion for the year. Analysts thought it might lose a billion dollars. Other Japanese companies who’ve lost a bundle this year: Hitachi dropped $US8 billion into a black hole, NEC bled out $US3 billion, making Sony’s $US1 billion negative look positively awesome. Microsoft’s Income Drops 32%, Its First Decline in 23 Years

Microsoft announced today that its quarterly revenue and earnings per share dropped in the quarter ending March 31st. It’s the first time in Microsoft’s history that they’ve failed to turn a profit.
