Apple has just pushed out the 10.7.4 update for OS, with some minor bug fixes and a patch to security issues. Nothing major, but it’ll hold you over until Mountain Lion finally hits.
We noted on Friday that the Software Update version of OS X 10.7.3 had a slight tendency towards crashing, to put it kindly. Seems like Apple agrees; they’ve pulled the software update version of the patch, although it’s still available as a full combo update.
Apple updated Lion this week, officially bringing it to 10.7.3. Great! Only one little problem; it’s apparently causing lots of application crashes and weird visual bugs. Here’s how to fix it if it’s all gone wrong for you.
If you’ve read our guide to building a Hackintosh you know that installing Mac OS X Lion requires a bit of work. You have install Snow Leopard, then go through a fairly tedious upgrade process rather than just installing from scratch. Fortunately, thanks to a new utility called UniBeast (from tonymacx86, of course), that’s no longer a problem.
Apple just released OS X Lion 10.7.1, the first update to the operating system since Lion was released in July. The update clears up bugs with video playback in Safari, audio playback and transferring settings to a new Mac. It also improves Wi-Fi connectivity. [BGR]
