LG’s apparently feeling so confident about its Optimus Pad/G-Slate – despite not much evidence they should be – that they decided to go and make a promo video wherein a flying ninja kicks Steve Jobs in the face. Starts at around the 1:00 mark.
Someone at LG decided it would be a great idea to tie in a video of their LG Optimus Pad tablet with Optimus Prime. Not only that, they have fake Optimus Prime fight fake Megatron, who’s not-so-subtly the robot manifestation of Apple’s iPad. None of this makes any sense, which is why it is kind of incredible that it was actually animated.
Like dogs, smartphones grow to reflect their owners – if those owners are savvy enough. Sprint’s new Sprint ID service offers users its American customers curated “packs” of apps, widgets and themes – from employers, brands, sports teams and more – for simple smartphone personalisation.
Last spotted in tablets such as Toshiba’s Folio, Nvidia’s Tegra 2 has been signed up for work in upcoming LG smartphones. We can expect the dual-core CPU phones by the end of the year, starting with the Optimus range.
The Desire is a spectacular handset, but with premium performance comes premium pricing. That’s probably why Telstra have decided to launch the LG Optimus, a smaller cheaper Android powered handset.
