Latestbuy Selling Lightsaber Torches… Must… Not… Open… Wallet…

4:14PM Nick Broughall | Latestbuy’s announcement that they’re selling torches shaped like Lightsabers was met with a mixed response in my brain. On the one hand, they’re probably not the best torches to actually use, considering the light is actually blue or red. On the other hand, they’re LIGHTSABER TORCHES! More »

You Must Be Lonely If You Use A Plug Mug

11:22AM Nick Broughall | Maybe it’s just that I’ve never worked in a large office environment, but I just can’t ever imagine becoming so attached to a coffee mug that I’d be prepared to physically remove a plug from the side of it to stop other office workers using it. Nobody Needs This Keyring Speaker

11:00AM Nick Broughall | Can anyone – anyone – please explain to me the appeal of having a cheap mono speaker attached to your keyring? Aside from the fact that this actually promotes kids to ignore gadget etiquette, considering the speaker is a tiny 2.5cm cube that incorporates a 3.5mm headphone jack and a rechargeable battery (and a USB port to charge it), the sound quality is sure to be something akin to a wailing banshee, and not just when you’re listening to 2DayFM. Not only that, but who wants a one-inch cube bulging from their pants pocket? For the $30 price tag, you could be well on your way to a decent set of portable stereo speakers. [Latestbuy] More »
