That overpriced, oversized Kno tablet? A video look-behind-the-scenes has revealed some high-tech testing equipment – namely, a Lego robotic-arm used to test the touchscreens and ambient light sensors. Wicked sideburns on the Lego robot’s human-overlord too, I might add.
Several of us have been enjoying cackling over the Kno tablet. With two 14.1-inch screens, that’s 28.2 inches of touchscreen real estate. That’s 18.5 inches more than the iPad! So go on, tell us – has anyone (students?) paid $US899 for one? [BusinessInsider]
I guess as it’s got two 14.1-inch touchscreens Kno feels it can get away with charging $US899 for its tablet, but $US599 for the 14-inch tablet with just one screen? Why, that’s more expensive than the iPad!
Does the lure of playing with “the most powerful tablet anyone has ever made” tempt you? How about those dual 14.1-inch touchscreens? (That’s a combined might of 28.2 inches!) Kno has received a $US46 million investment, with an end-of-year launch already pencilled in.
