As soon as FCC’s Julius Genachowski takes out his mighty sword to kill internet providers’ greed-driven traffic filtering, the fat cats are already attacking. A Comcast fat cat named David L. Cohen, who of course is playing the FUD card.
Julius Genachowski is the honourable Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission. And Julius Genachowski is in to kick some telecommunications companies’ arse, because he wants to introduce legislation to forbid content or traffic throttling to avoid more comcasting.
Perhaps I spoke too soon in referring to the new FCC brass as “jokers.” The Chairman, Julius Genachowski, appears to be the driving force behind the agency’s quick response to the Apple—Google situation.
