JaJah is an app for Android (and soon to be iPhone) that lets users make free phone calls to Facebook friends without punching in their phone number. It’s neat! The people you call don’t even have to have a JaJah account. All you do is select them in the JaJah app and they’ll be pinged through Facebook chat.
Jajah isn’t the first VoIP app for the iPhone/iPod touch, but it’s the first that let’s you send/receive SMS messages over Wi-Fi. I got a brief look at it, and so far, so good.
JaJah is readying their VoIP calling app for the second-gen iPod touch, offering mobile phone-esque functionality free of SIM cards and contracts, and provide mobile carriers the JaJah technology to use under their own brand.
