When Sony showed off the early concept demo of an interchangeable camcorder – it looked like a basic plastic case with some lenses. The actual product – the NEX-VG10 – has just been announced, and it actually looks like a huge leap forward for the entire camcorder market.
Sony’s gone and made both the NEX-3 and NEX-5 official, with the NEX-5 carrying the large boast of being the world’s smallest and lightest camera with interchangeable lenses.
Today Sony officially announced its NEX-3 and NEX-5 interchangeable lens compacts (which is exciting enough), but at the launch in Sydney they also mentioned that engineers in Japan are currently working on an interchangeable lens Handycam. They even had a concept model on display.
The new Factron case for the iPhone looks to beef up the iPhone’s camera capacity considerably with interchangeable lenses that screw onto the already sweet-looking metal and leather case.
