It often seems like everything you do, touch, or eat can make you smarter or dumber. But that’s not quite the case.
There are plenty of strange alternative uses for herbs. Rosemary, for instance, is supposed to soothe the skin and cure dandruff — though I can’t promise how well it will do either. Science, however, now tells us it definitely can make you smarter.
A new study from a self-described “psychometric consultant” and recruitment firm says that there’s no real difference in IQ between other browsers — but IE users are, well, below average. To study the “effects of cognitive ability on the choice of web browser”, they ran a free online IQ test to over 100,000 people, and plotted the average IQ scores based on the browser used.
Andrea Kuszewski, a behaviour therapist, has come up with five rules of life, that if followed, will “maximise your cognitive potential”. Basically, make give your brain more wrinkles. Luckily, you guys are probably living like this already.
