After last year’s 15.1-inch beauty, LG partnered it up with a 31-inch beast. It’s officially the world’s slimmest OLED 3DTV, but that’s not saying much when Sony is the only other manufacturer with an OLED 3DTV.
The Toshiba Folio is now official, following the trail of Samsung Galaxy Tab. Here are the official details:
Most budget-minded Android handsets are super-affordable, but also super-frustrating in the fact they tend to run older versions of Android (a problem some premium handsets suffer as well). That’s why it’s nice to see Huawei step up to the plate and offer a decently specced, affordable smartphone under their new IDEOS brand.
They describe it as “groundbreaking,” with the 20-degree slanted lens of the HMX-T10 supposedly aiding sore wrists. I don’t know about that, but the rest of the specs make me happy: full HD, for starters.
At Sony’s IFA press conference, their CEO Sir Howard Stringer talked up Sony’s 3D might. Expect to see Sony: Train Driver Simulator! on the PS3 shortly. [TechRadar]
It was possibly the worst-kept secret in tablet-land (more so than the iPad), but the final specs have now been revealed for the Samsung Galaxy Tab. It’ll run Android 2.2 (Froyo) and comes in a 7-inch flavor—for now.
At their IFA keynote today, Sony announced two new cloud-based entertainment services: Video On Demand powered by Qriocity and Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity. Okay, apparently the VOD Qriocity has been available in the U.S. for a while, but for anyone who missed that announcement, here’s what it means.
It’s not unusual for products to leak out before the official announcement. It’s not unusual for a company to tease a new product after it’s been leaked prior to the official launch. But Samsung are taking it to another level, actually advertising their upcoming Galaxy Tab device at Berlin Tegel airport, prior to its launch at IFA this week.
