Got yourself an HTC Sensation, Sensation XE or XL and fancy a bit of that tasty new Ice Cream Sandwich? You won’t have too long to wait; HTC’s scheduled the update for “early 2012″, so hopefully it’ll be a post-christmas treat. [Eurodroid via Gizmodo UK]
Over the weekend it was revealed that some extremely popular HTC Android phones (including the EVO 3D and Sensation) have a gaping security hole which would allow third-party apps access to all of your info. Oops?
Elly was remarkably keen on the HTC Sensation, and if you are too, it’s worth noting that JB Hi-Fi’s currently running a deal where if you sign up to the Telstra $79 plan, you get a $100 JB Hi-Fi gift card. It’s even better if you’re switching from another telco; they’ll give you $200 in that case.[JB Hi-Fi]
HTC’s new flagship Android phone arrives exclusively to Telstra today. It’s a wee bit pricey at $792 outright, but perhaps a bit more manageable on a new $79 per month contract over 24-months. HTC has also promised that the Sensation will be one the first devices it releases an unlocked bootloader for in August.
