The HTC HD2 hit Telstra T-Life stores yesterday, as we knew it would. And as you can see from the box shot above, the one word that really describes it well is “big”.
If you were curious about what’s going on behind the HD2‘s big and beautiful 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, wonder no more. These gadget porn pics don’t reveal any real surprises, but it’s interesting to see the beast from the inside. [XDA-Developers Forum]
Hopes may be dashed on that rumoured Android equivalent of the HD2. HTC’s CEO, Peter Chou, tells Forbes that “technically, we could make the HD2 an Android phone, but I have to take care of Windows Mobile.” Qué?
HTC’s most awesome Windows Mobile 6.5 phone isn’t coming to the US. The HD2 has a giganto 480×800 screen and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor inside of a 11mm-thinner-than-the-iPhone body. And, it’s the first WM phone running Sense, of Hero fame. [HTC, Electricpig]
