For the first time ever, a man has been cured of HIV. The remedy may nearly have killed him, but it opens a door – just a crack – to hope that we may someday kill off the scourge for good.

Researchers Discover Antibody That Kills 91% Of HIV Strains

Scientists have discovered three very strong antibodies which kill various HIV strains. The strongest of these antibodies actually manages to neutralise 91 per cent of known HIV strains. While this isn’t exactly a cure to HIV or AIDS, it’s certainly a step in the right direction. [WSJ]
