Seriously, what is wrong with the PSPGo? Is the handheld so ho-hum that people are purposefully modding it into awful things, or is it just a really hard device to work with?
Pink and metallic blue colours, people. If that doesn’t inspire you to drop whatever you’re doing right this second to head down to the shops and buy yourself a new Nintendo handheld, you must be a fool.
Oh Sony, why do you hate yourself so much? Only you hold the key to get yourself out of this funk you’ve recently found yourself in. The PS3 Slim was a huge step in the right direction. The PSPGo on the other hand, is going to send you right back to the depths of despair you’ve been wallowing in, at least until you reach the same conclusion as everyone else that a $449 RRP is totally absurd.
The PSP Go! should be hitting shelves in a couple of months, yet Sony is yet to announce a local price. What gives, Sony? Fortunately, David over at Kotaku has SCEA head honcho Michael Ephraim’s number on speed dial (maybe), so he hit him with the hard questions. The answers may not be exactly what you want to hear…
It’s official: I have absolutely no understanding of the youth of today. I’ve become an old man (and I’m not yet 30). Here I was thinking that the DSi was going to stumble alongside its cheaper DS Lite brethren, but instead it’s flourished. Flourished. Turns out the boffins at Nintendo obviously know what they’re doing, considering they’ve sold 100,000 DSi units in Australia since it went on sale just 14 weeks ago. Crazy!
As was the case with the DS Lite and DSi, when the PSP Go arrives in October it will come with a variety of new accessories that are not compatible with the handheld’s previous incarnation.
The PSP Go leak confirmed two things: that the device was real and that it’s coming at E3, and that Sony’s experience with the Mylo internet device wasn’t going to be wasted. They look almost exactly the same.
Live images have leaked of Sony’s PSP Go, set to launch at next week’s E3. Looks like those rumours were true: It’s a UMD-less slider with 16GB of memory, and it’ll ship this fall. No price yet, but that should come with the official announcement next week. Update with video:

We’ve already heard the rumours about the new UMD-free PSP to be unveiled at E3. Now the rumours say that it might not be internal storage only, adding a Memory Stick HG-Micro slot as well.
